So now that I can see quite a bit better,my CPU decided it was a good time to die.

My son gave me a Dell with an Intell Core 2 and four gig DDR2,a 1 terabyte HD,

CDRW/DVD and a 3.5 floppy (kind of hope that works).I had to install a video

card a Nvidia GForce

?? Also had to install an operating system.So I'm now

learning Linux, Linux Mint 19.1 ,Cinnamon 64 to be exact.I started with Dos 5 back

in the 90's so it shouldn't be impossible,,,,,Right ?

Glad to see you're back! If you plan on doing other stuff besides web surfing, or using a GUI for everything, then the Linux CLI has a lot to offer. Mint is a great distro for Linux on the desktop.
