I have three here, but have only tried two. Old Toby and Rivendell.
Neither of these is really sugary, which I thought might be the case. The sweetness is deep seated, but very constant on both. You actually get a Middle-Earthy taste (yeah, like I'm an expert), without it being too earthy. Flavors run really deep and I love them. I ordered more... and did not forget the White Rose this time

All the ones mentioned here are great. I love Old Toby. I think your use of the phrase "deep seated" is perfect. It's not over-the-top sweet like many aromatics, and for me, at least, it is a perfect amount of sweetness. It is also enough to where tongue bite never becomes a problem. I can transition from a non-aromatic to the Squire blends without having to re-learn how to smoke aromatics. I had a bad experience last night with MacBaren's 7 Seas Black. Also, Old Toby is creamy and comfortably sweet all the way through to the dottle.

I haven't ordered any blends from Country Squire yet, although I do listen to their podcast. Definitely on my "to do" list.

I must be living with my head stuck in the sand. Until today I’ve never heard of these blends. ☹️

For me the problem wasn't that I got old so far, it's that I'm not mentally old enough to be my chronologic age! ExChef, who if he knew he'd make it out of his twenties might have been nicer to his body!
