That is a good smoking pipe. I have one and I can get 45min from a bowl. It also is comfortable clenched.

Nice! Will you keep or remove that filter prior to smoking?

Filter is gone. Don't smoke any filtered pipes. I bet it will do about 45 minutes like john_r observed. Perfect!

Those are sharp looking cobs, need a couple of those. Great pic too. Should be a lot of fun.

G'morning, what I like about the Missouri Meerschaum, Corncob, and Maple Country Gentleman, & maple & cherry Mini Mt. Ozarks, is you can disassemble them & interchange some of the stems & mouthpiece's with the different bowls. But once you have broken them in, and they are burnt in, ( the varnish & burnt cob & wood soon burn out),they are as good as any briar without any distracting taste, though the corncobs if abused can be destroyed quicker than a solid briar. My little collection of MM are kept dismantled in a hand box, for easy cleaning and your chosen assembled parts. Bye.

Good for you, Don. The first thing I do with cobs is chuck the filter. They are amazingly resilient pipes and give a big bang for the buck. Enjoy it.

Cobs are cool. Six MM Legends, two MM Patriots and a Buescher lovat in this smoker's rotation.

G'Morn folks, I swear by filters, if any pipe does not take a regular filter I use a Nording Keystone natural mineral clay filter, or even a metal foil filter & aquarium carbon granules, but each to his own, filters I find give a cool, dry & clean smoke, take care folks, bye'all.

I generally don't use filters because I feel they mask away some of the flavor... similar to coffee filters that absorb the coffee oils that don't get to the cup - but I do understand why others prefer to use them... that said, there is no doubt that cobs are the best in pipe value bar none ( i have more than I can count on two hands)...
