Nice segment on Linda Ronstadt this morning. Always liked her music, and she closely resembles my Valerie. Her Parkinson's Disease also resonates with me.

I liked her too, didn’t know about her, worked with a guy we Called The Missippi Hippie, he was playing a song on his truck radio in the chemical plant lot behind the control center, it was Blue Bayou, damn I feel in love with her and that song..

She is the best. Not just her voice but her very centered personality. She never succumbed to the temptations of fame and fortune.

Glad to see she lives in San Francisco's most beautiful and prestigious neighborhood. "Sea Cliff". She earned it.

I caught that piece this morning. My father had recently mentioned her and I was thinking what was she up to these days. Now I know and learned how much she cares more about her art than any awards.

I liked Roy Orbison's original version, but the first time I heard Linda Ronstadt singing it...OMG! It never leaves my play lists

I only remember her from her duet with Aaron nevile in an American Tail. I loved that song as a kid.

I had the biggest crush on her when I was in college, but I had it even worse for Emmylou Harris. Many of my friends were fans of Stevie Nicks, but I just never liked her voice. There were some heated arguments back then. LOL

She had a truly amazing voice and great command over it. She could cover anything and make it sound better. She seems to be dealing with the loss of it with characteristic grace.

Pretty hot when she was younger.... I saw her in a scout uniform in a concert circa late 1970’s.
But she turned into a political zealot and lost me. I can understand why she feels more comfortable in San Francisco than Arizona.
Adios, Linda.

My mother died from Parkinson..I have great respect for anyone enduring that fight. It's a slow horrible losing battle that you can't win.

...agreed to all the comments...she was a class act and as she became more popular her stage and touring band was non-other than "The Eagles"....until they headed-out on their own...

I've always loved Linda's singing. All her albums were good, but for me a few standouts were her first Spanish language album Canciones De Mi Padre, and the ones she did with Nelson Riddle and his orchestra, which was mastered by one of the best, Doug Sax. Shmaltzy, yes but great old music.

beautiful and an amazing singer. I remember the days when she dated Governor Moonbeam (Jerry Brown).

Roll it back to 1971, Austin TX. I was 13. We did a short concert band/jazz band morning assembly in Jr. High. I was on my drum kit for the jazz band. We finished up, thinking we were done, and they introduced a “special guest”. Linda Ronstadt. We struggled through “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonght”, and then she sang a couple with a guitarist she’d brought. Afterwards she gave each of up a hug & kiss. I was 13 and IN LOVE!!

I have 3 or 4 of her albums. She looked great in roller skates.
