Things seem a bit slow here tonight. So I think it's a good time to ask this not so intelligent question..Keep in mind that I'm an old country fella from the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains here in western N.Carolina..Now the question..If a pipe maker takes a block wood of and carves away everything that's not a pipe..What happens to the wood that he carves away?

It becomes anti-pipe matter.

Some pieces morph into matching tampers... I never have enough left to make a tamper to fit into my stacks.

It becomes man glitter. Although I think that the anti-pipe matter is great answer. My stepfather was a wooden boat builder and I remember helping him shape oars for one of the Dorys he built and I asked him, “how will I know if I got it right” or something similar. He handed me a draw knife and a picture of an oar, then said “remove everything that does not look like that picture”, then left me to work on it. Put a lot of hours in on it and came out pretty damned well if I do say so myself. ExChef

I like the antimatter answer myself. Picturing a small black hole sitting on the floor beneath the carving, swallowing everything that comes into it. Where does it come out? I don't know.

Another take on anti-pipe matter: If everything that remains = pipe, everything that does not remain = not pipe.

Yes it becomes sawdust, you have a very inquisitive mind Larry, like the Cajun who started mixing sawdust in his horses feed, his buddy aks why you do dat. He answered everyday I mix a little more sawdust and cut back on dah horse feed, why you do dat his friend asked again. Cajun replied because soon he’s gonna 💩out a 2 X 4 and then I’m gonna go in the lumber business. Weeks pass and Cajun sees his friend, friend asks what happened to you horse, Cajun says you know just when I had him on all sawdust he up and died.!
