I use oil, but not sure the brand. A couple girls I've dated gifted me a few vials and I haven't made my way through it yet. I don't know that the beard benefits as much as the face underneath. Mine gets terrible if I don't use it.
Just checked, Smooth Viking (of course it's called that) is what I'm on now. Works well and has a pleasant cedar fragrance that lasts longer than most.

So, my samples from Sam’s Naturals came in and I have to say I am really liking what I got. As it has only been the first few uses it will take a bit more to tell how well it will work with my beard. It does feel a bit “oilier” than the Honest Amish balm did, but I was expecting it to.
The samples I got were, Mahogany, Leather and Tobacco.
More review as usage increases.

This morning, my beard had some crazy bedhead (bed-beard?) from the way I slept on it ... especially the grays. My wife said, "I can calm that down for you". Next thing I know, there's a mixture of Coconut, Almond, Rosehip and Cinnamon oils going in my beard. Gotta say, it's feeling pretty good. Maybe my oil light was on after all and I was ignoring it. Lol

I had a beard for many years, but I kept it trimmed to no more than 2.5 inches. Jack in the Box tacos kept it conditioned.

I had a beard for many years. When it turned white too many people remarked, "You look like Santa Claus." Since I do not feel like Santa and had an overwhelming desire to kick them, I decided it was time to shave. At one point, I tried coloring the whiskers. Although the product label read "Light Brown", it came out more red than I intended.

My favorite to use on my beard is from BossmanBrand .com. It is called Jelly Beard Oil. It is a little thicker than your ordinary beard oil. Makes it easier to put on for me. Also comes in a number of different scents. Good Stuff. I recently tried this beard oil and was impressed, Mike. I bought the original "Magic" scent, but noticed that they also have one called "Stagecoach" that is advertised as "rugged leather, sweet tobacco, and aged bourbon", which sounds interesting. Have you tried it?

I have several all made by my wife. All different flavors. 50% olive oil 50% castor oil season to taste with an essential oil. My favorite has two be the gardenias scented oil. If I try to mix it up everyday though one day gardenia another day Rose the next day lavender and sometimes baby powder I even have one with a lemon scent which is another one of my favorites. Good luck with your journey, like pipe smoking there's no real wrong way you do it unless of course you put on so much that it runs down your shirt

There are so many beard oils to choose from anymore. Brands that I have tried and have liked are: Honest Amish (as you have), Bossman (as has been mentioned before), Grave Before Shave (also mentioned), The Bearded Bastard, The Mad Viking, and Badass Beard Care are the main ones. Most of these also have 'sample' size amounts to try their different scents.
If you are growing your beard out longer, I would suggest the addition of a Beard Balm. One of the things that I have "learned/heard" is that beard oil is more for the skin under the beard (itching, dryness etc) but that beard balm is more for the beard itself. Seems to stay in/on the beard a better and longer, and helps make it more manageable. Honest Amish Beard Balm, Bossman Relaxing Beard Balm (Stagecoach scent), and Smooth Viking have been ones I have really liked.
The thing is, everyone's beard is at least a little different. Just try a few different sample sized versions and see what works best for you, and whose scent you (or your significant other) enjoy the most.
