Jim Inks everything he could get his hands on as long as it was free or stolen while no one was looking.

I love how slow Mutton's brain operates. He's like an Ent from LotR. Those huge pauses where he just stares at you with those cold, dead, unblinking, dead mackerel eyes. hahaha I put that in as a joke. I don't mind the guy. I'm sure he has a higher IQ than me. I wish I knew what some of the famous pipe smokers smoked. I'm glad the thread got back on track. He's a nice guy and I actually watch some of his vids, but I also laugh while doing so at times.

And let's not forget Fred.....
We do know that he smoked at least one blend, that being Kramers 'Father Dempsey'!

I've wanted to give Kramer's a try for some time now and this sale was just the nudge I needed.

And I think we should keep in mind that while many of these celebrities smoked blends we recognize, these blends are not the same today as they were in the days of these notables.

Right.
I think we should also remember that they were like us and probably smoked more than one blend. haha. Just cause James Brolin said he like a Kramer's blend, doesn't mean he didn't have dozens of smokes at home in his rotation.

I posted this thread hoping to stimulate some interest in the subject of Famous People and What They Smoke(d). I thought that perhaps others might contribute to the thread with some other famous pipe smokers that they were aware of. It seems to have turned into an evaluation of Muttnchop, which is not what was intended. Hope that maybe we can get back on track here! When you go viral and don't do your homework properly, you have to expect to be evaluated for not doing so. A little more work on his part, and he could have done some thing more substantial without the factual errors and just plain guessing. Spreading so much misinformation deserves criticism and corrections.

Come on now Jim. That's unfair. Lay off the turnips. I love how slow Mutton's brain operates. He's like an Ent from LotR. Those huge pauses where he just stares at you with those cold, dead, unblinking, dead mackerel eyes. hahaha Nice guy and he has good topics, but he speaks .... very, ... very, ... slowly. I've never made it to the end of one of his videos, because I'm too impatient.

Haha Sorry man. I just think Mutton Chop is unintentionally hilarious. I also really do enjoy his vids. His facial hair is also pretty cool. If I had a stronger chin, I'd rock the chops.
Also, it is a fun topic.

If one presents him/herself as a journalist/writer/commentator, it's incumbent upon them to do the research, which is 90% of the work, even if you just write/ghostwrite plays as I do. If you put information out "there", you have a responsibility to get it right, or as close to correct as you can get.

I loved Batteries not Included when I was 5-6. Also, he was great in Cocoon with Brimley and Denehey! Though Cocoon made me unbelievably sad as a young kid. It was a strange lesson in mortality for a young mind.

And he smokes what blend? Maybe I misunderstood the title. Is it just to throw up pictures of famous people with pipes?

This one took me by surprise! Currently listed on Ebay......
LouAs far as I can tell from that photo, the pipe looks very similar to my birthdate dunnie, a Dunhill 1947 patent shell briar 197 English billiard . It dwarfs him.
