 wife has hangeing wire baskets in pantry, she showed me her onion . Doesn't grow that good in garden.

Every year that I've decided to plant onions we've ended up with lots of rain. Rotten onions and potatoes will stink up the yard real quick!

Isn't that a mature onion that's just re-sprouted? Is the taste o.k.? (I've read it changes but never tried it sprouted that way)
