It has been 4 months since I ran out of Carter Hall and despite my recent Cellar pledge, I broke down and ordered some. I am weak and confess so publicly, but at least I'll soon have some CH in my pipe.

That is a forgivable concession. haha Anytime I see it, I grab a box. It's so cheap and I know it will get smoked.

Carter Hall is technically an all day "smoke it while you have it" blend. It's not meant to be cellared but smoked as soon as opened. IMO you didn't break any cellar rules. Smoke on.

The only thing worse than being out of one’s favorite blend is to have it and no way to light it. 👎😱

Good solid smoke in a cob. I have a tub that's at least seven years old. Hope it's doing well.

Mike, don’t feel bad....with all the tobacco’s in my cellar I make sure I have plenty of CH. If not I’d feel naked. Like Ken stated....CH can easily be an all day enjoyable smoke 👌👍👍. You did a good thing!!

Yeah, even if you pledge to smoke your cellar, you gotta have some Carter Hall on hand.

I think it was in a food lion grocery store the last time I bought a pouch of it.

I crewed an Australian group at Texas A&M fire fighting school and 2 things stuck with me, they thought paper towels were toilet paper, Hey Mate Americans are bigger arses than we thought, and hysterical laughing at the name Piggly Wiggly, drinking after fighting fires all day, they would say Piggly Wiggly and go off on a laughing binge.

Heebie's actual last name is Johnson. Not to be confused with the Johnson which is a completely different subject.😁

If buying one of the regulars in your rotation when you run out regardless of total cellar supplies is wrong....then I don't want to be right. Also, grew up in the land of Piggly Wiggly and never thought anything strange of the name until I moved north. Now I do chuckle a little bit thinking about the name (I work in consumer package goods so retailer names come up a lot).
