That is tragic news, especially with all the work you've put into it, JimInks - not in the reviews themselves, but in the correction. sparks , are you thinking of having it as a Patch enterprise? Would be a nice pairing...especially if they let it go for free. Free will not happen. |

I think if a site like the patch could acquire tobaccoreviews it would be huge for the traffic of this site.

Not that it's about the money for him, but it would be nice to get something back for his time and money, I'm sure. |

I got an appraisal for the site and it came up as only $2300. I used to buy domains for my last employer and this seems low. It's based a lot on traffic. It would seem that as fantastic and busy it might seem to us, it really doesn't make a significant amount of money or drive much traffic. The ad revenue is based on click-throughs to the ads. And I haven't ever clicked on one. I believe that there's a small fee just for placing the ad, but with little traffic compared to almost any other site you can think of, it's not going to be much. If I still had my work accounts I could tell you the average number of visitors and all that. Maybe someone still working IT could check it out.
