Wow! That turned out to be a fantastic looking pipe. Well done! Wish I had the skills and patience to restore a pipe as you have done.

Very nice restoration on a lovely pipe! Was the silver band original to the pipe?

Very nice restoration on a lovely pipe! Was the silver band original to the pipe? No it is a repair band, looks like the previous owner did have good taste though! I think previous owner had the band made by a jeweler! Its pretty neat after I got to looking at it!

That pipe had obviously been well-loved for many years before you ever got it.
I'm sitting here astounded by the grain. Amazing that this stummel was used for a Hardcastle. A testament to just how many good blocks they were sitting on, back then.
Practically perfect ring grain all the way around. A lot of wear, but the bones of just a really great blast.

It is amazing that during the era this pipe was made it was stamped Hardcastle and not Parker! I believe it was made during the early days right after Hardcastle was fully purchased by Dunhill, but I dont know for sure! LOL when I seen it I thought Parker Ring grain blast all the way though!

It's got to be pretty damned old to retain the inner tube system. I'm not a Parker/Hardcastle expert so I can't help you date it. It's just "old" in my book
