nice job Josh. I have about 40 that need worked on. LOL! Send em on over, I'm fresh out! While doing that one I smoked about 8 pipes. Well, had em burning and hanging out of my mouth anyway. I noticed 2 were turning a little ugly. They got fixed up too. Thank you all! stilllernin a lot of time, very very very fine sandpaper, water, elbow grease, a very bright light, and even more time. |

Very nice work, Josh! I love my Custom Bilts and Kaywoodie Hand Mades. Nice, hefty, thick walled pipes, and all are great smokers. š

That turned out well. It may surprise you with its smoking qualities, as well. I have a few CustomBilts. While they vary in how well the stems and buttons are cut, they're all drilled for a "wide open" draught, by the standards of the day. I don't know too much about what makes a pipe smoke well or poorly, but I am pretty sure a good draught makes a pipe more likely to smoke well. My CustomBilts are evidence.
Two of them are unusually dry, easy smokers for pipes of their price and era. (A third is not so great, but I think it is a later make. Not least because the draught ain't so good.)
