From the DeSoto Dealers across America. DeSoto was Chrysler’s Ford Edsel.....both cars were built like a tank👍 Keep them running was another thing.....lol. DeSoto was a sponsor for many of the Marx TV shows of that era.
Some funny outtakes..........

I ended up watching about 7-8 of those out-take videos.

Great stuff. I used to watch the Groucho reruns as a lad, he was an incredibly funny man.

As a kid, I loved the Jack Benny Show. Still do.
The other night, I watched his 1942 movie "To Be or Not to Be". Still as brilliant as ever. Came to appreciate Sig Ruman, aka "Concentration Camp Erhardt". He was a very funny man. You may remember him as the original Sergeant Schultz in "Stalag 17", his memorable line, "Ach, one Fuhrer is enough!"

I always watched these with my mom as a kid. I always thought that the ladies were the epitome of beauty, intelligence, class, and grace. They don't make them like that anymore.

I've met some hardcore Edsel and DeSoto fans through the years.
Another brand that went out in the 60s is Studebaker. They made good cars, though. Just decades of mismanagement caught up with them. Caught up with Packard, too.

Caught up with Packard, too. Speaking of Packard, Taos was home to a former US Ambassador to The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The old guy still has his official Packard complete with small Old Glory flags on the front fenders. Every now and then he would cruise through town, old Vets on the sidewalk snap to attention and salute. Quite the spectacle. He was promoted to Glory and I do not know what became of the car.
