Picked up a couple of pipes today while "picking" at the local Antique store. I don't think I did too badly. The Saseini is a one dot. It says Specially Selected with fish logo followed by the patent no. 150221/20. The shape number is 5LG From my research I think it's from the 1919-24 era. Looks pretty clean for being that old. The rim is a bit dark but I think I can put some elbow grease into that. This thing is quite light. Great grain as well. The Edward's had a nice military mount and is in pretty decent condition. There are a few fills in the bowl. The Viking is in pretty good condition. I obtained some Viking bowls recently so I need the stem. Should be a decent clean up.

I like the Edwards. They never tried to hide their fills, and you could count on a good Algerian briar pipe.
I also like your Sparky Anderson image. Native Detroiter here, that's my era. :-)

Nice finds! Enjoy!
All that can be found at the antique shops around here is overpriced furniture. I miss the big antique "mall" that we used to go to in MI. I cant remember the town.

Congrats and enjoy that windfall. For those not familiar, the Dr Grabow Viking smokes as well as a Falcon.

Good on you for the Viking. I have 5. No reason, I just like them and they smoke great. Noticeably better than a Falcon and made in the US of A. ๐จ๐จ๐๐ค
