With the help of some fine upstanding gentlemen here I am finally able to post pics! For starters here are a few cigars I rolled from my own homegrown and processed tobacco

Looks like I'm on a "roll". Here is how I sun cure Virginia. I made a little hoop house out of conduit. I hang the tobacco for the sun to bake it. In the evening I cover it with a plastic sheet to keep out the moisture.

Very nice. I like the little curing house. I need to do some more reading on curing.

Nicely rolled, beautiful leaf. If you need someone to provide you with a review, send me 7 and i'll provide you 6 monthly updates and one in a year as they get some age on them. I would make that sacrifice for you. ExChef

Oh man. I'm so excited for the summer. Rachel has given me permission to grow some baccy in the back yard.

Glad you can post some pics now, Randy! Nice looking sticks ... do you usually bother with the skirts and hats? Lol, I mean wrappers and caps.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Darin, I usually just twist the end unless I'm feeling creative I 'll make a cap.
The cigars in the pic are "American" cigars as they were made in the 1880's. The filler is Little Dutch, binder is PA Broadleaf and the wrapper is Glessnor (its very elastic). According to Killebrew in his massive book on tobacco, Little Dutch was the predominant filler in American cigars until replaced by Spanish Zimmer in the late 1880's.
Little Dutch with some Flue cured makes a fantastic pipe blend.
