Not trying to promote the listing...but whether you're a Kaywoodie collector or not, check out this Kaywoodie Collector briar churchwarden. Alpha (Shalom, Israel) made "Magnum" all-briar churchwardens from one-piece briar which were nearly 9", one of which I have; but this KW is nearly 14". I do believe it's 2 pieces of joined briar...there's a straight line about 1" or so to the right of the "Collector" stamping...but man, they matched up the grain really well.

I wondered about that line on the shank. It makes me wonder if that was a repair. Not a good repair, mind you, but a repair just the same.

I dunno...if it is a repair, it is one hell of a good match (in the picture).
