Any of you guys play this game on your mobile device? Very well crafted and fun game. It is difficult to learn, but is addictive. They put a lot of work into making the tanks as realistic as possible. Armor, engines, guns, reloading time, turret traverse etc have all been designed to reflect the actual vehicles being simulated. I have never been a gamer, but boy is this fun!

Don, like you I’m not big into games. Is this available on Apple devices. I have a 12.9” iPad Pro I’m not using enough. This game might give me a good reason to use it more than drawing!!

Ted, it is available for Apple devices. I initially tried to play it on my Ipad Air 2. It was easier on my iPhone 6. Something about having to move my thumbs around less. It is really challenging to drive and run the turret. But it is a lot of fun, even as lousy as I am at it. There are some good videos online of people's gameplay.

You're welcome, Ted. Stick with it. It has a steep learning curve.

I haven't played computer games in decades. I remember a tank game that ran on the Mac in the late 80s. I wasn't any good at it.

I haven't played computer games in decades. I remember a tank game that ran on the Mac in the late 80s. I wasn't any good at it. Well I suck at this one, but I still enjoy it. You play 7 on 7. There is a base to capture and hold to win, or you just destroy all the other teams tanks. There are tanks available from England, USA, Germany, Soviet Union, France, Japan and China. You start with the light tanks and gradually work up the chain. My heaviest right now is a Pzkw IV. When you get blown up, as I often do, you can watch the rest of the battle from any of your other team mate's tanks. That makes it more fun, because you get to see other people's techniques. My son and I played a little together tonight on the same team. That was cool, because we could talk to each other and coordinate our movements and support each other. We kicked butt one battle and not so much for the other two. The opposition some times is just too good or equipped too well. The tanks available start in the 1930's and run up to about the Vietnam era. I think the game console version has tanks up to the present. They give you the "option" of buying high tier tanks if you are foolish or rich, or both. No way. One high tier machine I looked at tonight was about $75. I guess if I was Nolan Arenado, I could see just buying a make believe tank, but you still have to fight machines of generally the same level. So why would you do that?

I'm getting a kick out of a non-gamer getting excited about WoT. I used to do a magnificent online WWII flight sim called Aces High. I know what you mean about the learning curve. One December I was looking at the stats of the guy that came in first for the month. I looked at his hours played, and divided by 31. He averaged 5.5 hours a day. I'm sure there were some days he played none, and others eleven, but holy cow. How did he earn a living?
That's when you give up maybe coming in first for the month, and dream instead of maybe breaking the top 1,000. The top guys could shoot you down with a dinky little Japanese float plane with a single rear-firing 12.7mm machine gun.

I used to put in some SERIOUS hours playing online games. I lost a few years of my life (literal play time of 700+ days) to World of Warcraft. I had a full time job and had time to be a husband and father. I just didnt sleep much. I always enjoyed flying in the battlefield series. Tanks were my absolute favorite.
I might have to download this game tomorrow.

A client got me into Everquest for about a year. One time I was playing late Sunday night, at maybe 3am or 4am, and had to work for her on Monday at 8am. I was talking to a guard and, when I was done, turned around to find her standing right behind me. It was pretty funny. All she could say was, hey I'm playing too! Oops.

Just so you guys know, Blitz is the version of WoT for tablets, the original was for pcs, and they made an XBox port too (I think XBox). The pc version has the most content (15v15 rather than 7v7, for example).
The good news is you can play indefinitely for free, though there's a good chance you'll want to drop $5 here and there for shiny stuff.

I gave them 99 cents for a large amount of silver and gold to update all my vehicles significantly. Played a bunch of battles tonight with my son on my team. We kicked butt a few times. Fun fun fun.

How do you even control your tank on a tablet? I've never had one and don't do consoles - the pc version uses the standard WASD and mouse, so it plays like a first person shooter.

Lately I'm a fairly avid computer gamer; I've played WOT on PC, it's a fun game, though it's based on the "freemium" model, where you have to pay money for in-game content instead of just buying the full game outright.
(The main multiplayer game I've been playing lately is Wreckfest, a fairly realistic racing game; but not as much as a pure racing sim like Project Cars 2).

I haven't played a computer game since Myst. And before that (many years) Wizardry.

Ground Zeroes gets 8s in the reviews. Phrases like 'challenging, open-ended stealth that lets you flex your imagination', 'extremely replayable', and 'realistic voice acting, dialog and animations'.
Runs on PC, PS4, X360 and XONE. The pc will give the best experience, but you want a 4GB GPU for Extra High - a 2GB will only get 60fps on High.
Heavy focus on stealth.
