You know you've been smoking when your wife tells you that your shirt smells like pipe smoke.

So true ... for me it's the beard, aka "stache note".

That's a personal scent I long for. Hell, maybe I have it but there is no one that will tell me about it.

Geez, it takes me forever to find a shirt that doesn't have a hole from a flying ash.

I would rather have the smell of a tobacco on my shirt than cologne or perfume. The later two bother my nose.

You know you've been smoking when your wife tells you that your shirt smells like pipe smoke. My beloved wife sez that she can smell the pipe "stink" on my hair, face, breath, clothes, and the list goes on.

I can relate to that! My husband has a very sensitive nose, and he worked so hard in high school to have no scent at all on him because he made a living trapping. We frequently disagree on what scents are acceptable. I like musky scents, they choke hubby. It takes a long time to find a perfume he will actually let me wear. I would like him to wear some cologne, but he won't. We have reached an agreement, though. We both like Bay Rum aftershave and he will wear it if we are going to be home all evening and alone, because he'll wash it off in the morning. I asked him why and he said it was because he didn't want to smell for anyone but me, lol. He's kind of adorable at times.
But this is also a concern for me when picking pipe tobaccos, they are going to have to pass hubby's nose....
