Even though there is still a foot of snow on the ground, they claim that Spring will be here in a couple of weeks. So, to get my mind off this snow, and on something much more pleasant: What blends do you enjoy smoking (or adding to your rotation) once Spring brings some nicer weather that allows for some smoking outside?

Burley: Crooner, Pegasus, Carter Hall, OTC blends
Virginia based: OGS, 515 RC-1, Bayou Morning, Dunbar, Tilbury
Aros/crossovers: Sutliff Aromatic English, STM, Bombadil, EGR Blend, Distinguished gentleman, cross-eyed cricket, Pennington Gap, RPL-6
Others: Quiet Nights (reminds me of last spring), Red Odessa
Kind of anything a bit brighter.

I have nothing specific for this but for March and April I put in my rotation Erin Go Bragh Irish Whiskey and Russ Ouellette's The Taxman Cometh.

I think the time for Balkans may diminish in interest with the coming of Spring...we'll see what happens...maybe more aros and VaPers.

My tobacco choice doesn't seem to change with the seasons. I just smoke what I like regardless of the weather. But... I am in Arizona and don't have the drastic change in seasons as others might.

I don't have seasonal preferences. I smoke whatever suits the given mood, no rhyme or reason.

I actually think Savinelli 140 is sort of a Spring blend.

I think spring and summer call for lighter blends. Some that I think are particularly good for warmer months are:
Orlik Golden Sliced Erinmore Flake Sutliff Matured Red Virginia 515 RC-1 Germain Plumb Cake Mac Baren Plumcake
And if you like Aromatics: Lane 1-Q Lane RLP-6 Sir Walker Raleigh Aromatic Sutliff Queen Anne's Revenge

Can't really say. It's pretty much been winter since I started smoking a pipe so I'll let you if my tastes change if the weather ever warms up.

continue with above. No "seasonals", just lat-bombs all the time

I like Virginia’s and Lakeland’s to start the spring, for some reason the main time I like to smoke floral tobaccos is when it starts warming up.

Not real sure since I started last April. Also, we never really have a spring in South Georgia. It goes from cold to HOT.

When it's cold outside, I prefer English/Balkans and Va/VaBurs/Burleys when it's warm.
I'll be switching to more Redburn, D&R Two Timer, Semois, and maybe even a few light aros as the seasons switch.

No real plans here, but I will say that I will be spending a lot more time in the woods as the weather permits and that has traditionally meant grabbing a cob and a pouch.
And I love that Cramptholomew mentioned Dunbar. It was the first tobacco I thought of. One of the first blends I was passionate about. I actually compared it to spring in my review. hahaha
"This tobacco smells like honey, green wood, green raisin, button mushroom, and a slight kind of... unripened cantaloupe. A faint wet earth smell. Like a morning walk through a field in early spring. The tufts of grass- wet with melting snow and thawing soil- a chill breeze blowing, but you can smell life returning with it."
