Buyer beware...
Valerie and I order from Amazon quite frequently. Lately, they have been using a shipping company called "OnTrac."
Five out of five orders were never delivered, and we had to contact Amazon for replacements.
The one order that showed up, was left out in the rain at the mailboxes in our apartment complex. The notification on Amazon stated that it was "left at our door."
Just a heads-up, folks. Avoid this outfit if you can.

I had to look them up as I never heard of them.
"The company was founded in California in 1991 and expanded to seven additional states: Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado and Idaho."
Looks like I'm safe from their services. lol

They have been Amazon carriers for years in Arizona, but since so many people bought their own Sprinter vans and became Amazon contractors, they have a lot less of a presence.
I am fortunate, the only issue I have had was misdelivered a block away (same house number). A pair of tactical boots that must not have fit the people that brought the package by... they had opened it.

I've heard a startling amount of bad reports about postal service over the US. Makes me glad for royal mail.
Our worst delivery people are hermes because they outsource to anyone who has transport and they pay per delivery, which means that items get dropped off everywhere. I've come home to packages soaked in the rain on my doorstep.
That said, that's about as bad as it gets. Hardly anyone takes stuff from the front door (I've never seen or heard of it around here EVER), so packages are mostly safe.

They also use that UPS to USPS service that takes FOR-EV-ER.
