I have been fighting a case of bronchitis since before Thanksgiving. I haven't smoked a pipe in ten days.
Damn
It's getting better, I am not having coughing fits that take me to my knees anymore, but I still have a cough every now and then.
Man, I wish this would clear up. The weather is getting nice and I want to smoke a pipe.

Hope you get better. Being sick isn't any fun. Not being able to smoke is worse.

Jim, feel better real soon, it’s impossible to smoke with any upper respiratory issue. Hopefully you can enjoy a pipe over the weekend, be well.

The weather is getting nice and I want to smoke a pipe. My mom's had the same kinda thing. It's been about two months for her. Been to Dr. for x-rays, CT scan, on antibiotics. They say she just has to deal with it until it goes away. Several bouts of extreme coughing everyday. It seems there's been a lot more of this going around in the past few years. I've had co-workers with it, last year I had at least 3 bronchial infections. I hope yours gets better soon. |

CGVT, I have been right along beside you the entire time. Ditto on no pipe smoking. I may have to quit or seriously cut down after the day my lungs clear.
I even passed out while coughing and ended up on the floor. Yes, bronchitis is a misery!

Get you a Zpac from the doc and get better that stuff can get a lot worse in hurry. Get better soon best wishes.

A lot of what's going around is viral and a Zpac won't touch it, unfortunately.

Thanks, all. Yes, Jason, it seems that there is a lot of this going around this year. When I first got it back before Thanksgiving, I went to the doctor and had chest X-rays and blood work to rule out pneumonia and a shot and zpac. A two weeks later I went back and got a shot, a breathing treatment and a course of different antibiotics. I went back one more time for a different course of antibiotics. Each time the doctor told me that I should be feeling better in a week. He lied  . I have not gone to the Dr since, it is slowly getting better, my coughing fits are fewer and farther between and not near as violent as they were, but it is just lingering. I know in the big scheme of things it is not a big deal, but I am ready for it to be gone. |

A five month cough it is time for a pulmonologist to take a look. Yeah, you would think that, but I know at least a half dozen people that have had/still have the same thing. I would be more worried about it, but my 20 year old daughter had it and a 16 year old that I know has it. I think it is just one of *those* things.  |

I had some kind of virus for 2 weeks..It put me on my butt.I'm over it now..Hope you will be better soon.

I havent got over my cough from 2 months ago. It's gotten better but I still have serious coughing fits daily.
I feel your pain and I'll smoke a pipe for you. I gave up on not smoking til it clears. I dont think it's ever going to.

I like how much easier it is to quit smoking a pipe when you need to, versus cigarettes, or even cigars.
Even the high nic blends. I'm not sure why. There's just something different about it.
