I've come into possession of a Dr Grabow Omega, it's carved,of nice quality,and a good smoker taboot. Can anybody give me some background on the Omega, as to it's rating and quallity of briar.

You can't go wrong with an Omega. That was my first pipe nearly thirty years ago. An American take on Peterson's System design I believe. When I got one nearly thirty years ago I paid $17 dollars for it but see them now around $40.

I have one. I have one of those "texturised" bent Omegas. Really you can't go wrong with a Grabow. My next pipe will be a Freehand.
