You did a nice job, Orley. It's a nice pipe. I think the Dunhill County uses two slightly different shade stains. Is that what you did?

I like the color very much but wonder about the bend of the stem. Should it be more pronounced?

Orley, nice looking Oom Paul, definitely one of my favorite shapes, guess because they are so darn comfortable to clench. Enjoy your Oom Paul for many years of smoking pleasure!!! About 3 to 4 years ago before Road Town Pipes became so popular ( made by Chinese Artisans?!?!?! ) I purchased two. They smoked so well I ended up winning three others all under $35.00 each. Wish I purchased more at that price. Now the seller is well known on the West Coast and eBay. Much HIGHER prices sheโs getting now. Below is a picture of of a โ handmade?!?!? โ Huge Stone Melting Pot which is Road Town Pipes supposedly better quality pipes. At the time I was the winning bidder @ $47.55. Now pipes similar from this seller has more than doubled. Itโs a superb smoker, therefore if you can find or win any of Road Town Pipes for under $65.00 your still getting a bargain ๐๐๐

Yes, more stem bending indicated! Hate the finish. My Hungarians are smooth, but a deeply blasted one would be fine for my druthers.

You did good. I like the contrast over the blast. Well done sir.

Reminds me a bit of a Savinelli 620. I like it!๐

My son, Dylan, gave me a Chinese-made pipe last Christmas... a churchwarden, styled after the pipes in the "Lord of the Rings" movies... I have not yet smoked it. The stem is some sort of metal, but looks like wood. The bowl is carved wood, but I doubt it's briar.
It'll probably end up as a "wall-hanger", but I'll keep it because Dylan gave it to me.

An interesting looking pipe. I suppose that I too would prefer the stem to have a bit more bend, but I think the coloring is just fine. It looks like a pipe I would enjoy smoking. At least to try once

Should be easy enough to bend that yourself. Nice looking pipe though.

They are decent pipes and one of a few Chinese pipes that I believe one can generally trust. The only one I purchased from Benandci above 25 was a unique HS Eskimo. I was lucky in that I placed my highest bid and won. The closest winning bids on similar Eskimo pipes, same make, were 15-20 dollars more while many others were double my price. This is the nature of auctions. PS I have four pipes from Benandci, the other two were below 20. The prices I state do not include shipping.

I had to go look in one of my cloud services to find this picture. This is the first H S Studio Road Town Pipe I won on eBay for $23.95 delivered. Itโs an excellent smoking pipe. I havenโt seen any that were sold similar to the one pictured for under $50.00. I have a Road Town stored at my sonโs that I won for $13.00 plus shipping. This was within the first few months this seller started selling pipes on eBay.

This seller is now selling some pipes with a โ buy it now & make offer โ choice. This is something that must be fairly new within the last year. With a feedback of 99.7% and a sales number of 6,673 Iโd say the majority of people are satisfied with their purchase ๐
