Well...last hurricane left a mark on my brain...this time I'm gonna get prepared tree-wise...got the tree man (friend) coming in the next 10 days to take a look at all the pines and oaks around my house...gonna get him and his bucket truck to cut them back or down...gonna try to get as much as possible cut to keep it from coming down in a bad storm...place is too old...won't insure it...so if something happens it is on me...and I'm poorer than a church mouse...so preventive measures is gonna have to do it...that and prayer to keep us safe. He has always taken care of us...but I don't think He cares for fools all that much...so preventive measures are called for....in addition to prayers.
Happy Friday to those who work...and for those retired...enjoy the day and have a good smoke!
Hope you are all doing well...Martin, my friend, Tosh, Ken, Jeff and all the others...Tosh, you need to get well...you've been sick with one thing or the other since I've been on the Patch. Paddy's daughter...hope she is better, too.

Thanks pepesdad1. Unfortunately she seems to be getting worse. @lonecoyote, it's kinda always between 50°F and 65°F all year. Mostly with rain too. And unknownpipesmoker, baltic means it's freezing. I'm assuming it comes from the fact that countries in the baltic region, like Norway and Finland are freakin cold in the winter.

Can you believe it? Just a short while ago, I was reporting below Zero overnight temperatures and today in Eastern Washington, it is 66°F and being intolerant of heat, I have my fan on!

It amazes me how your seasons change almost overnight. There are many years that go by when we're in November and never realised that summer even happened.

Mike, I can believe it. My wife grew up in the Soap Lake and Ephrata area. I always found the temperature fluctuation to be interesting during the summer months. High in the 90s, lows in the 40s. I guess that's why the vinyards in that part of Washington grow such good grapes.

The weather here in east TN is finally clearing up -- it has been a grey, rainy, dismal winter (and a harsh contrast from the Tucson, AZ winters I've been enjoying for the past 5 years). Pipes are much easier to enjoy when you're fingers aren't freezing and the cold air puts out the embers!

The usual N.Texas spring weather, 40's at night and up to the low 80's during the day. Got up to 81 today and tonight we are getting strong thunderstorms with golf ball size hail in some areas. Ahhhh Texas weather !

80 in the swamp waiting for winter to return. I feel for Michael every time I go to DFWW metroplex I never know what to bring. A parka, swimsuit or a hail proof Kevlar vest.

40F in Alaska today. Had to keep moving while outdoors, but the streams are opening, and the increase in daylight is noticeable. Will be nice not to have to bundle up like I'm ice fishing in order to enjoy a pipe.

Pop over to the Welcome section and say hi. Good to have you with us.

I'm down here in Knoxville. I've never actually driven through the Johnson City/Kingsport area since I usually go north through Lexington, KY to visit family in WV.
