I'm in the house. It's baltic outside. It's windy and raining...
And I'd love a pipe right now, but I can't have one.
I can't wait for the weather to get better so I can get some fresh (albeit smokey) air.

It's a sunny beautiful day in Northern California. In the low 60's. Don't want you to feel bad, Paddy...

Nothing to look forward to.

It's partly sunny and 70 here today. First time it has been above 65 since October 11th. It's going down hill come the weekend but I'll take it.

I've always enjoyed a pipeful in inclement weather. The trick is to find a sheltered area, light carefully and smoke slowly.
When I lived up in Crescent City, CA, it pretty much rained all the time. It's right next to the Pacific and backed up by Redwood National Park.
I loved the short drive from our house up into the woods for a pipe. I've never since experienced the same solitude and quiet.

I suppose my issue is that if I was to go somewhere to smoke my pipe I would be missing out on time with my children. There will be plenty of time for that when they're older and don't want to hang out with their weird dad.

75F in Louisville right now. Wind is ferocious. I fertilized, seeded the lawn, charged up the 80v lithium batteries for the mower, weed eater and blower earlier this week. Wind has already blown some vinyl siding loose this year. I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of the siding on three sides of the shack and replacing it with cementitious siding board this summer. I just don't need to be on a ladder repairing or power washing siding anymore.

We hit the low 80s past two days but are expecting a high of 58f tomorrow. I just want the weatherman to decide what it wants to do.

Storms are my favorite weather. I like to sit in my front porch and watch the lightning. Full daylight gives me migraines.

It was 73 and sunny today with a light breeze. I was walking back from the mailbox and as I was passing the blooming azaleas a Monarch buzzed my head 3 times. The squirrels mating calls make me nervous and the mocking birds are talking gibberish. I too will be so happy when the good weather returns, tomorrow. 😎🤠

I understand Paddy. We’ve been in the midst of a “cyclone bomb” the last two days. Cold but we missed most of the moisture, but crazy high wind, up to 65 mph gusts. Fun.

Only made it into the low 50's today. Heavy rain on tap for tomorrow. Love spending time in my yard relaxing and enjoying a pipe in nicer weather. Been itching to fire up the grill too. Have to wait a few more weeks for that. So close, but so far away.

It is predicted to exceed 40°F tomorrow. Winter started mild here, but has been cold and snowy for weeks.

That's not unusual for Amarillo. There's nothing to slow the wind out there but windmills.

It does get insanely hot here in the southwest, but between my air conditioned workplace, the many cigar lounges, and the smoker friendly indian casinos, I am rarely ever far from a smoker friendly climate....October through May, is generally nice outdoor smoking weather....June-September sends us indoors to the lounges, etc...

Yesterday afternoon, watched wife plant Cannanas she had bought while sitting on porch and smoking some Nitecap, overcast with sun breaking out a few times, high of 72, a little breezy from the South, gonna turn North tonight and get chiller. Buddy was scouting the area scouting when he will dig them up. I’ve got his shock collar on, he’d better not be a bad dog. PS he wasn’t so he skated.

Heads up paddy.
Americans will have to go on urban dictionary to find out what baltic means. I've been away from Ireland for so many years, I forget some of the banter myself.
