Yesterday my good friend Ted and I were able to enjoy a visit together. Ted picked me up and we went to the local Diner for breakfast. I had eggs, crispy hash browns, bacon, toast, and coffee. The food was delicious and the conversation was all about catching up on family conditions and events. After breakfast we returned to my home where we enjoyed listening to music, by Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, The Eagles, Beatles, and etc. Conversation was all about pipes, tobacco, complaints about being old, the delights of boredom, and a host of other things that old geezers like talking about. Of course after exchanging some tins of tobacco we enjoyed smoking our pipes together for a few hours. As always it was a great visit and I hated for it to end. No matter, another visit is planned for April.
Oh, I almost forgot, Ted introduced me to Billy Budd Blond. Ted knows my taste in tobacco very well. He was pretty sure I would like this blend,and as usual, he was right.
Hopefully we will see each other at the TAPS Pipe Show on April 6, 2019 and again later in the month. Does an old pipe smoker a world of good to be able to visit with a good friend and enjoy a few bowls together. I highly recommend it.

Yeah, I hear that Ted is so old, he farts out dust....petrified dust! Charlie, due to our age and the medications we take it’s a privilege to pass anything. However, dust is preferable to the cinder blocks that are a common occurrence.  WJ |

It was a great visit, already looking forward to our next meet up. Next month hopefully will be two get togethers 👍👍 .
The pipe smoking is much more enjoyable with a good friend and we’re never lost for words.

Sounds look me a nice meetup... I am guessing you guys drive a distance to meet up? With no traffic takes me about 25 minutes or less....not bad. One of my doctors is in the same town where AJ lives....it all works out well. |

That is pretty nice, it takes me about 20 minutes to get to the cigar shop we meet at.
