On getting some advice on tobacco blends to try, I went to Boswell Pipes ( boswellpipes.com) in order to purchase their Pennsylvania Dutch Treat blend. And then saw this... Jumbo Supreme Kick-Back Freehand Sitter. Fell in love just from a pure sculpture/artwork/craftsmanship standpoint. Just arrived today and can't wait to enjoy their sampler pack that I ordered as well. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION This Incredible Jumbo Supreme Kick-Back Freehand Sitter speaks for itself. Are you ready for a relaxing cool smoke? Incredible old craftsmanship style with ultra-thick walls of even thickness all around the entire circumference, waiting to be loaded with your favorite tobacco! Incredible cool smoke with an extremely easy draw for some serious smoking. Glassy honey tan finish with eye-catching dark bold highlights to show off its flowing grain, just gorgeous. Wide rough plateaux covers the top of this bowl and also along the end of the shank. J.M. has designed it so that the shape will stand on its own. Large hand-cut acrylic freehand mouthpiece in a pearlized ruby red tones. For well over 38 years, J.M. Boswell is known worldwide for crafting theses incredible, massive looking, king size briars. Addition to being amazing smokers as well, they are capable of holding a generous supply of your favorite tobacco. Your new Boswell Jumbo will come nestled in a protective handmade pipe sleeve and placed in a Boswell gift box along with all the essentials for your first smoke. Weight: 5.90 oz. /167 grams Bowl Height: 3" Tobacco Chamber Diameter: 1" Length: 7-1/2" Mouthpiece: Acrylic Handmade in Pennsylvania J.M. Boswell hand inscribes his signature into the briar and proudly declares handmade in the USA

Think I'm going to just enjoy the aesthetics of this pipe for awhile, while I hone in on one or two similar tobacco blends that I could appreciate for special occasions, then use this pipe for such times.

That’s a stunning Freehand and the stain and finish used really shows off that grain. Very different stem as well. Enjoy for many years of smoking pleasure 👍👍👍

That is a pipe you tell the wife “Honey, we can go visit your mom after I smoke this bowl, or you can go on ahead without me” kinda pipe.
Nice execution on that big boy!

Nice looking pipe that will require a comfortable chair, especially if you pack it full! Enjoy!

I have a massive Soren Freehand that I use in the very same way... it's mostly a "special occasion" pipe. I love to look at it though. It has it's own little leather "easy chair".

It will make a great Movie pipe. That's what I use my biggest briars for, loading them up with a no fuss blend and getting into a film.
