Nice looking pipe, I like the choice of contrasting stain. A Dr friend from Long Island bought me a holiday gift a while back. It’s an Eltang Devil Anse. The “ only “ blend it smokes well is FVF.....oh I’ve tried many others. He spent $600.00 for the pipe, if it was not a gift it would be long gone!
High priced pipes definitely does not make it a superb smoker!!

Very high price...nice pipe, but for me, don't care all that much for it. If I was gonna spend that kinda money, I would be sending it to Ron...and maybe get 2 of his for the price of that one....and I would have been way much happier, cause Ron makes, to me, far more beautiful pipes than that one.

Sure, the birdseye is gorgeous, but unless I was lighting my cigars with $100 dollar bills and bathing in champagne, I'd spend the $1,800 on a Savinelli and all the tins of Dunhill I could find.

Beautiful Pipe! Tom really caught the right angle on the block. Seems like a bargain price for a snail grade. I'd love to have Eltang look over the pipe and restoration. Never heard of SATX or looked at his site before but the shine doesn't look right to my eye.  |
