Anyone here familiar with the pipes made by Bill Walther? I have two that he made for me back when he started and I have smoked the heck out of them these past 40+ years. Just curious if there are any other Walther smokers out there ! pipedia.org/wiki/Walther

I’ve never had the pleasure, but two pipe smokers I know from up North tell me they are stunning looking and superb smokers. Your lucky Michael, enjoy yours for many years to come!!!

He's a very nice, very quiet low key guy who I've know from shows for a few years now. From what I've seen he does a nice job with standard and Danish shapes.

Oh yes sir, I love my Walther pipes. He is a fellow Texan and super talented. Since his retirement from his other profession a few years ago, he got into making pipes full-time and even started his own website - www.walthersmokingpipes.com/Quick story; I wanted Bill to make a billiard tanblast for me and that I would pick it up at the Texas Pipe Show that was being held just a couple of weeks later. Well, I get there and right next to the pipe he made for me is another one just like it except it was a smooth pipe with sizzling straight grain. It didn't sell at the show but I kept thinking about that pipe and two weeks later called him and asked if it was still available. He said yes, so, I bought that one, too. That sorry dog probably put that pipe right next to the one he made for me because he knew I'd buy it. (-; And I'll echo the post above from another forum member that Walther is the consummate gentleman. Pipestud

LOL!
No sir, these are from my personal collection. I don't sell on forums. Now, if you want to give me a million dollars for one of those fine Walther pipes, I might reconsider my position on that. (-:
