The United Pipe Clubs of America (UPCA) is offering the 2016 Slo-SMoke competition pipe to its members for a mere $35.00. Since uor club is a member we ordered 3. We're also getting 10 2019 competition pipes, which I'll post once I get them. This Gigi is a nice pipe and we could not go wrong for the money. I'm breaking it in with G-H Dark Plug. Great draw and a cool smoke. I never heard of this brand before but I can see myself getting another.

Looks like a lovely pipe to me. If it smokes as well as you state that that's a winner in my book.

The company's roots go back to the mid 1930's. They know a thing or two about producing briar under their own moniker and labeling for others.

That's a nice looking pipe. I have a couple Gigi's I got recently and they are both great smoking pipes for the money.

I have a really sweet faceted, plateau freehand Gigi that is not even close to being a basket pipe. They make a full range of pipes. I will post a picture of it later.

I'll be the nay-sayer here. I smoked in the UPCA contest where these pipes were used. I don't know of anyone who got a decently made one; they were pieces of crap. I found 13 engineering flaws in mine.
In general, I find pipe smoking contest pipes to be of dubious quality. The makers are working under a tight deadline to make the contest pipes. As a result, they relax their quality standards in order to deliver the required quantity on time. The UPCA selling additional pipes to member clubs only compounds the problem by increasing the quantity that need to be made by the deadline.
Out of the five years that I have smoked in the UPCA US National in Chicago, only one(!) of the pipes that I got would pass a basic quality inspection if I was browsing pipes to buy from a dealer.
I am not participating in the UPCA contest in Chicago this year. The cost to participate has gone up 50% to $75. That goes beyond what I am willing pay to support the event and receive a random quality pipe of a style that I would not pick out for myself.

Does that include the pipe and a tin of Frog Morton?
