I have a neighbor who comes to my house a couple of times a day.He's a retired fishing boat captain.He always has some good stories to tell.He keeps cigarettes at my house.He thinks his wife doesn't know he sneaks and smokes.He has a sugar problem so he makes sugar free banana pudding..For those who may not know banana pudding is a southern tradition.He brings me a couple large bowls each week..A few days ago he asked about pipe tobacco.I said that I keep in mason jars.This morning he brought me a big bowl of pudding and 4 mason jars..He's turning out to be a real friend.

Larry......good neighbors usually equals a good friend. At times I help two older people that also live near my ex. For the holidays that passed they both baked for me. Now let’s talk about family.........naaaaaaa better not......don’t want this thread locked down.....lol
Your a lucky man to have a good friend, I wish I lived closer to AJ and visited him more than once a month!!!

I need a neighbor like that. Lately, mine just wants to talk about politics. Tell him your a communist, they won’t bother you again. Worked for me👍 Also, give him a pipe and tobacco, he will thank you and never greet you again......also happened to me. Which I wrote on the Patch a few months ago, you might remember. He just knocked on the door, I'm in no mood to talk or listen so I told him I had a headache, which I do. He gave me a ziploc with about 2 bowls full. I asked what it was, he said "burley without a bite." Apparently he went down to our B&M today and picked up some tobacco and a pipe.
I like the guy, just not the conversations lately.
Maybe he'll bring me some banana pudding.

My Dad, who is an old school Baptist preacher from Kentucky, allows that they are gonna serve banana puddin' in Heaven at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. He plans on goin' back for seconds.  |

I'm not a big fan of bananas, but you cant live in the south and not eat banana pudding.
