Well damn, the BBF and FVF went in minutes! Five years ago this stuff was on sale at various outlets for a week at a time. I really dig on BBF and put back a couple pounds but is it really that good it's worth this kind of action?
What gives? McClelland and Dunhill shut down syndrome? I guess the scare is just flat on now, huh?

Seems that this is a recurring theme for these tobaccos. 1972 was hard to get earlier in the year.

Just wait until they (congress) announce that tobacco sales will be forbidden on the internet...then you'll see some mad scrambling.
Cellar now and cellar deep.

I'm primarily a red Virginia hound; however, when I need to get away from the genre for a while, Sam Gawith BBF and Mac Baren Va #1 are my safe harbors. BBF is that good. You need to try some.

I am always bothered by these events, a I am suspicious that non pipe smoking eBay sellers are buying up stock.

I may or not have been responsible for any depletion of 1792.

I may or not have been responsible for any depletion of 1792. You must have scarfed it all up Duane. EBay action on Sam Gawith appears fairly robust this morning. I have absolutely no problems with that action. I'm just a little surprised. I'm not chasing anymore so maybe I'm just behind the times? Unless I'm mistaken, this stuff doesn't even fall into the unobtanium category? Perhaps they've simply cut back on shipments across the pond?

Personally I know of one. Looking at the prices some are paying on eBay, tobacco produces better returns than my 401K

I am not sure how well their system updates availability, but some SG blends are available here. Unfortunately, no full VA flake there for me The Briary Samuel Gawith page

It would be a bummer if tobacco was not easy to keep long term... thankful we can jar and stow.

Stack high, stack deep Ammo stored properly will last much longer than most manufacturers recommend. That 5 year maximum is marketing BS. I’ve shot .45 caliber ammo over 25 years old with NO fails. Store in a cool dry area and the ammo will last for many years. I have plenty of .22 magnum stored in a safe, the past 4 plus years many gun shops had no stock or you were limited to one box of 50 rounds due to lack of availability. You can thank our government for the amount of ammo a manufacturer can produce and sell......times have changed for sure since ALL of the mass shooting incidents.
