Who are your favorite tobacconists and why? SP, P&C, TP, 4Noggins, CupoJoes, Peretti, B&Ms, etc. Why do you like them and continue to go back? For me, my favorites online are SmokingPipes and TobaccoPipes. For a B&M it's Straus Tobacconist in Florence, Kentucky. SP and TP are great on customer service, immediate shipping, tracking, good prices and good inventory. If they say in stock, they mean in stock. I discovered Straus through a friend and tried some of their custom mixes and fell in love with a couple. I phone my orders in, they are courteous, knowledgable and ship quickly and reliably. How about you?

For me, in the UK it's either mysmokingshop or smokeking.
They ship 1st class (next day) as standard and their customer service is second to none.

For me, it's smokingpipes.com online and Telford's in Mill Valley (just across the Golden Gate bridge) brick and mortar.

For me its Pipes and Cigars. On the phone. They are really great, I always get what i ordered, quickly, with no problems or issues. I am sure if an issue arose, they would bend over backwards to resolve it, especially so as I have ordered from them so much i am sure they have my name highlighted on a list somewhere. At one time or another I have investigates all the others, and ordered from them. I will again, because whats not available here may be available there, etc. But I always start with P&C.

Its not about faithful so much. Its more about sticking with a winner. I have had the same dry cleaner for 20 years and the same travel agent for about 15.
Truth is likely that they are all good and that they all will disappoint us from time to time. I just hate shopping. I like buying, but I hate shopping.

No real local B&M any more. Online I use SP and P&C mostly, both equally good IMO. Occasionally Mars tobacco and cup o' joes.

I have to give a SOLID vote for John Brandt at Wilke Tobacconists!! His blends are consistently AWESOME, and he's great to talk to on the phone. I cannot recommend him enough.

I must be on their sh*t list, because they have in the past, screwed up more orders than been good on...maybe they just don't like me, sure can't be because I hadn't spent enough $$ there. But they lied to me more than once and twice is more than I'll put up with. But, you are fortunate to have had good luck with them...so keep on keepin' on is my suggestion.

SP and TP are my top 2. SP has always resolved issues within a matter of minutes. TP has been flawless and due to their location I get my packages in 2 days. SP is normally 2-3 so theres no comparison there. Between the 2 it depends on what's available. If they both have what I'm looking for I split my orders between the 2. I've done this many times.
P&C has a few things that I can only find there. When I place an order, I keep my fingers crossed until it arrives. They've crapped on me a few times, but they've been good with the last 4 or 5 orders.
My next orders will be at Wilke and Sterling. I always seem to forget about those 2.
1&2 SP/TP in no specific order. 3 P&C 792 IR

I don't really have a favorite, and I've never had an issue with any retailer.
But, I mostly use P&C when they have a good sale, and Boswells because I like their blends. Both are really close, so shipping is quick.
But P&C is hit or miss...Sometimes their prices are higher, and their sales don't really save all too much. They lost my business last order because their plum pudding was more expensive.

Who are your favorite tobacconists and why? SP, P&C, TP, 4Noggins, CupoJoes, Peretti, B&Ms, etc. Why do you like them and continue to go back? Tobaccopipes. 1. They mail from Spring Hill, Florida to my address in SE Florida. 2. They are prompt and accurate. Dan and the crew carefully inspect the merchandise before they send it to me and let me know if there are any problems. Once they sent me the wrong item, responded immediately with the correct one and told me to keep the other one. Always great service like this. 3. Prices are reasonable. 4. Their selection is varied, inclusive and falls within the wide range of my tobacco preferences.

My online favorites are SmokingPipes, Pipes&Cigars, and TobaccoPipes. SP provides the best service, P&C has the best sales, and TP usually has items in stock when the other two have sold out. All three provide great service and have a large selection of tobaccos, pipes, and associated products.

P&C is the only one I deal with any more. That's just for my Five Brothers. Other wise I buy from forum members to help them out when they need it. Just me.

I have to agree with you on this. I met John at the show and he is a great guy. I just started to deal with him and will in the future. I mostly deal with P&C and the only bad experience was the Esoterica sale so far, didn't cost me anything and my money was back in my Paypal account along with an apology. My second choice is Tobacco Pipes and then Cup O Joes. If I can't find something anywhere else then I'll deal with SP. As far as B&M locally it's Havana House and Allegheny Smokeworks.

I forgot to give a big shout out to Uhle's. Boswell is another which deserves mention. You can't go wrong with either of them. Finest Kind.
