Well your photo effort is appreciated. As to the pipe, I think it is silly and when those spears break or fall off, it will look ugly to boot.

I guess I wouldn’t be wrapping my hand around it. The spikes don’t grab me, but good looking otherwise.

I guess I wouldn’t be wrapping my hand around it. The spikes don’t grab me, but good looking otherwise. Yeah, that could be painful.

That pipe (and that particular line in Rattray's) is made by Chris Kelly, the pipe maker behind Eldritch Pipes, in Nottingham England. That particular one is tame compared to some of the other styles he creates. Check our his website. www.eldritchpipes.com

Check our his website. www.eldritchpipes.comHe’s an extremely talented carver, what is he doing making cheap pipes for Rattray’s. Hopefully he was just the original designer. Some of his pipes are stunning.....JMHO

Way to ruin a perfectly nice pipe. It would be really nice without the cheesy spikes.

Does not appeal to me on any level I don't know, Dewayne. You could intimidate a few bears with that one. The last bear I felt the need to intimidate was a grizzly in Alaska, and it would up with a .45-70 bullet through its spine at 50 yards. You might say I "smoked 'im".

i'm not a fan of spikey pipes. Having looked at the others he carves, there are some beautiful creations, some wacky creations.... and the above pipe's big brother...

With the war on tobacco they will be limiting the number of spikes allowed on your pipe next.
