You guys should stove some burley. McWiggins gave me some stoved Stokkebye Cube Cut, and it's great. It adds dimension, and boosts the nuttiness. Far less cigarette notes. I'll have to give that one a try. The one I really HATE is Haunted Bookshop. I don't think I like C&D Burley, as a whole. The only one of theirs I've actually liked is Pegasus, and that was after 6 months. I'd buy more Pegasus, but the rest I've tried are like burnt habanero.

Me and Burley have a strange relationship. Some of them I like, others I don't. Some burn up my mouth, some don't. HH Burley Flake is always a winner. And after a few months in a jar, I'm glad I can smoke Sutliff RR Match without getting lava mouth. I have a similar love/hate relationship with Burley. I go with the Virginia Burley blends, in particular dark fires like HH ODF. That seems to work for me. But I think all the HH blends have been aged a bit. Weird thing for me is that DFK doesn't bother me at all, and neither does Green River cavendished Burley. I guess whatever happens in the processing, it exorcises the Burley demon that makes me feel like I've been stuck in a burning building.
