Walt, Grabow still makes Freehand Pipes. Mine is from โ87 1/2....almost โ88. The newer version Grabow Freehand is a bit smaller than the original. Itโs an excellent smoker still in pristine condition.
ERR Match date on jar 2/16 Pipe of choice: restored Olde London Algerian smooth briar Chubby Billiard pipe with a comfortable stem. An excellent smoking pipe from this flawless Chubby piece of briar๐๐๐

Enjoyed a tasty cheese chicken and rice lunch, and am now smoking Peretti Park Square in a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. A bottle of Sierra Mist is my drink.

That Olde London Algerian pipe is a beauty, also. Just finsihed a bowl of Stonehaven in a small straight grained volcano...now some candy corn in an old Yello-bole Canadian...probably my best smoker aside from cobs.

Nap time for wife and the boy! Now for Papas patio pipe time, Iโve got some Newminster English Oriental in the olโ Medico Guardsman. Beautiful day after a nice rain. They hyped it up as baseball size hail expected, no hail, not a bit. Nice, reliable Texas weather.
Hope youโre all having a nice day, be well pipers!

Sitting back in the perfection of my over stuffed chair that has memorized my tail piece, smoking Plum Pudding in an outrageous bent big bowled churchwarden pipe, a relatively new bathrobe, a chilled bowl of cafe au lait made with Starbucks Verona blonde roast. Reading John O'Hara. Listening to classical music softly in the background, Prokofiev's 1st Symphony trying mightily to get too loud.
One of those moments where changing any single detail would reduce the wonderfulness.
In an hour I will go back to work, but right now that hour is hours away.

I have been smoking LNF all week on the drive home from work. The tobacco has some age on it - 2010. I find this to baccy to be ok fresh and the age doesn't improve it much. I wonder if these PS blends use a lesser quality leaf since it is a bulk blend on the inexpensive side.
