I think I’ll start smoking a cigar when I cut grass. Maybe a decent mild one, thanks for your suggestions

What about the Parodi Cheroots? I haven't had any, but I keep hearing about them, and people seem to love them. They're pretty cheap too. If I was to get some cigars, they would be it. Cut grass and feel like Clint Eastwood at the same time!

It depends on how you define cheap, but if you're asking for an inexpensive premium cigar, my recommendation is Five Vegas. If you're looking for an inexpensive machine produced cigar, then I'll wait to hear what's recommended as well.

The only reason I haven't tried them yet is because I haven't been smoking cigars lately. Can anyone comment on either of these cigars?

I used to keep a pack of Backwoods in my tackle box. The only thing I can remember about them is they were pretty mild. They kept the skeeters away and kept me from smoking a whole pack of cigs while drinking/fishing.
Now I might have to revisit them tomorrow.

Do you want a real cigar?? Meaning good quality tobacco’s with no added fillers. What ring size did you have in mind?

Ted I like the Short Story but doesn’t last as I have a very big yard, I’m a babe in the woods on this, probably a mild cigar, don’t have a humidor so I could buy 5 at a time.

Sorry, I am not a fan of Backwoods, Philly blunts or any machine-rolled sticks. Though there are a few Cuban sandwiches (hand-rolled mixed-filler) that are not bad, I strongly prefer hand-rolled long-filler smokes. Of these, on the less expensive side, there are a number I can recommend like, Flora de Oliva. Before I continue I would add one question to @lonecoyote's inquiry, what is your price point? PS oldcajun123 AF Hemmingway Short Story is a good cigar (though not a budget stick😀) and definitely puts you into the handmade long-filler category; A good place to be too really enjoy this hobby.

Now this is something that is up my alley! Over the years I have come to believe that the Fuente 858 is the best quality cigar for about $5. Or try the line called Consuegra which are seconds of premium cigars and you can get those for $2

Sorry, I am not a fan of Backwoods and Philly blunts or any machine-rolled sticks, at least that I have come across. I tried Backwoods when I was a teenager. I don't recall how they tasted, but I didn't like the fact that they unrolled and fell apart as I smoked them.

I dont remember mine falling apart, but it's been a long time since I've had any. It could have also been the catfish slime that held them together.
I'm not sure what your price point is but there are many shops online that have decently priced "samplers."

Have you tried any of the Punch cigars? A natural leaf Rothschild is under $5.00 a stick. I’m not sure what you want to spend on a cigar. I really enjoy the Padron 3000, won’t break the bank👌👍👍

The reality is....I enjoy any “ pure “ tobacco leaf cigar.

Without providing you a specific stick, I highly recommend any of the store brand hand rolled cigars by my local tobacconist Finck's. Pick whatever catches your eye from the handmade Finck's exclusives on this link: www.finckcigarcompany.com/products/category/finck_exclusives/They have a couple of b&m's here locally so I can't speak for their mail order. But no other maker I have smoked provides a better value than these guys do with their hand rolled cigars. Some are even hand rolled right here in San Antonio.

I second the Consuegra seconds at JR's. Good golfing cigar. You don't cry when you left it at the last green and just light another one. Drew Estates Factory Smokes is a bundled cigar that a great price as well. Time Flies is another great smoke for the price.

I have been smoking Fuente for years and have always been satisfied. If I had to pick a second recommendation after my first choice I posted above, Arturo Fuente would be it.

I really like De Nobili cigars, found them when I was in my late teens believe it or not. Don't find them around here and that's probably a good thing because I like them too much. Used to find them in Liquor stores all the time but, I hear they can be had at JR Cigar nowadays. There really pretty cheap and are more like Cheroots. Used to come in two different lengths, 6" and 3" I believe.

Padron cigars are made to a critical standard and are great sticks if you can get them at the price you want. If you buy some of the Padron thousand series 2000, 4000, 6000, etc and keep the box unopened and properly humidified for a few years they are amazing cigars.

Thank you all you’ve given me some very good choices, cutting my yard on Zero turn is usually 2.5 hrs, and a cigar is easier than ducking foliage with a pipe, again I appreciate the time you’ve taken with your expertise.

Wow. Cutting my grass with a push mower takes 7 minutes if the grass isn't to long.
