Seamonkey is a direct descendant of the original Mozilla browser (Netscape). I mean, I just never grew out of it. I liked the boxy, utilitarian look. Seamonkey doesn't look anything like Netscape did. I had to do a little .css hacking to achieve this. However, to fell comfortable online, I have to have it! I just thought I'd share. Who doesn't miss watching those comets?

I haven't thought about Netscape in years! Back in my early days, having to code between IE and Netscape was a nightmare. I'd get stuff looking perfect in one,and then check the other and it was all out of whack. No more coding for me.

All-in-one internet suite, no subscription required. No walled garden.

Netscape was always my go-to browser.

haha. I remember the early days of internet when it was really a product of packet switching and military/university collaboration. What's interesting is that in those days it operated like the dark web. Those that travelled it left no trail behind. Now they are watching you everywhere.

I remember paying big bucks for a US Robotics 56k.92 modem cause it was fast. I use IE for the net its not like they don't all spy on you these days. For fun you can search something stupid so Ad no fing Choices will run it in the flash ads. Interesting the wife does integration for debit cards and Visa, Master Card programs will only run on the IE browser.

It surprises me how frequently you still find people coding to specific browser platforms. My current company’s UI is somewhat browser specific. Works well on Chrome or Safari but not really on Firefox or IE. Go figure. Oh well, welcome to the late 90’s. ExChef

I had an older gentleman lawyer that still used AOL. I had to start carrying around one of those free AOL cds in my toolkit for every time it broke.
[Side note on DuckDuckGo advertising it doesn't track you and keeps your search history private: why then when I'm typing a search, does it autofill with all my previous searches?]

No, I flush the cache all the time; the autofill is permanent.

After switching to Linux Mint,I did a bit of research.I did not know that Mozilla was Netscape. And since Firefox comes bundled with Linux,I've just gone with it.I'm kind of giddy returning to a browser that is a descendant of Netscape.Yes I do miss those comets shooting across.I'm kind of liking the Linux,Linux Mint is like a combination of DOS and Windows.I'm re-learning the command line interface.I really miss DOS 5,it was so comfortable to use.

Linux is good and so is FreeBSD. Linux Torvalds was once asked what the best operating system to use was, and he replied "whatever works" .
