I have a cold and don't want to try a new blend until I can really taste it. Guess I'll have to wait a few days, but I will post my thoughts when I do try it. |

I love the stuff, it just hasnt found it's way into my pipe lately. Virginia's, particularly reds, have a firm grip on me.

Guess I'll have to wait a few days, but I will post my thoughts when I do try it. Went to the ER today. It seems that I don't have a cold. Dr said it's a COPD flare up. He did say I was wise to choose pipes over the years of cigarettes. |

IMO, best Lat heavy blend in existence. I probably say that because it's a perfect combination of red Virginia and Latakia.

Didnt know you havent tried it Ken. I would have sent some in my sampler package. I opened a tin a while back and still havent smoked my way through it. Once in a while I get an itch for it, and its lovely. No worries Greg  |

I smoke Gaslight when I’m looking for a bit of a nic hit, I don’t inhale but it will still give you a slight buzz. Definitely don’t smoke on an empty stomach if you inhale!! For me I don’t find the blend strong, guess that’s from smoking “ air bender “ cigars for many years. What makes this blend work well with the Latakia is the top quality red Virginia’s, I get a sweet woodsy smoke every time with a pleasant taste to the palate. I can smoke this any time of day, definitely repeatable during the course of the day👌👍👍
Ken, did you try “ My Perfect Plug “ I gave you at the show? The plug consists of red Virginia’s along with a dark Kentucky and top quality Burley leaf. Slice thin and rub out well, you’ll enjoy it much more then if you cube cut. It’s a dense plug, but worth your time to rub out well.

Like roadsdiverged, I’ve been hitting the red VA, almost exclusively. I m almost certain I dreamed I was smoking some the other night. I try to break up the red VA with a Latakia (preferably with a red va base), so this sounds perfect. I haven’t smoked any (Gaslight) in a while, so I think I’ll smoke a bowl or three today. |

I sliced it and rubbed well and loaded in my Old Vic poker and smoked while running to get what I needed for dinner. An excellent smoke that I will try again later. I'm not sure what I'm tasting but I like it and will smoke it again to try to figure it out. |
