Greetings,
I’m Scott and am just east of Baltimore, Maryland. I’ve been smoking a pipe since 2009, and am a proud member of the Chesapeake Pipe Club. I took a few years off from pipe smoking, and recently picked it back up again. There seems to be a lot more forums than before, so I decided to branch out and meet some new pipe guys, in addition to rekindling friendships on other forums I had frequented in years past. I have a modest pipe collection of around 20 pipes, and enjoy Virginia’s and Burley tobacco, primarily blends from Samuel Gawith and Gawith Hoggarth. Looking forward to chatting and sharing my knowledge of tobacco, and of course learning from fellow pipe smokers. For anyone in the Maryland area, I am 10 min from Main Street Cigar and 30 min from The Humidour in Baltimore, and am always up for meeting up with folks for a smoke.

This is the Scott that used to post on ASP frequently in the 2009-2014 era. Used to love reading your dog walks posts, and was sorry to hear that she passed away a few years ago. Regards, Scott You ever check out Faders? Oh yeah, used to frequent the Towson and Reisterstown stores back in the day! Sadly Faders closed shop for good last year. They were the 6th oldest pipe shop in the US and the Towson store in particular was an iconic shop. It was a sad day for sure, but fortunately Main Street Cigar is 10 min from me, and while they cater primarily to the cigar crowd, they have a very respectable selection of tins and bulk, as well as a nice collection of Italian pipes. -Scott |
