As some of you know, Blondie and I are soon to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Some of our dearest friends, Jim and Susan, have graciously helped us make arrangements to go on a cruise at the end of this month. (they're coming along as well) This evening we had dinner with them and went over the ins & outs of cruising (we've never been). While there Jim showed me his recent acquisition...  The Bourbon aficionado's out there will instantly recognize these bottles. The more astute will recognize that this is a complete set of Blantons. What is not pictured is 3 additional bottles. Jim and Susan recently returned from a cruise on which they received this set as a gift from the cruise lines. Jim knows that Blantons is one of the few Bourbons that I really enjoy, and subsequently gave me one of his "extras". So, I'm sitting here in the mancave, enjoying a bowl of Smokers Haven 20th Anniversary and sipping a lovely glass of... Blantons, of course. ;-) |

My parents like to cruise and my wife just went on one with her aunt. Neither her uncle nor I am into the tourist scene so they went together.
The up side, my wife came back with bottles of top shelf booze at much cheaper prices because you can get good deals on the ship.
Down side, cruises nickle and dime you like crazy. If you want bottled water, soda's and juices outside of the provided orange juice, it'll cost ya. Let alone all the other "packages" they offer.

If you’ve never been on a cruise prior I’d suggest carrying some Dramamine just in case.
Enjoy the cruise 🚢 and those midnight meals, many are outrageous.

Oh my . . . sooooo good! Happy Anniversary! Last November we were camping at Cape Lookout fishing for Red Drum. Blanton's with breakfast was perfect way to start the day! |
