A friend just asked me how many pipes I have About 20 I said. Then he asked if one of them is my favorite. After thinking for a minute I told him that I actually have 2 favorites..A Castello, and a Dunhill..Both straight billiards...Yes it is possible to have more than one favorite pipe or tobacco..I would guess that this could apply to other things as well.

I often get asked by my daughters what my favourite _____ is. I so often can't give a favourite.
Favourite film... Depends on genre. Favourite song... Again depends on genre.
Favourite tobacco... Depends on type of blend (English / aromatic etc.)
Favourite pipe... I also have more than one.

Favorite pipes are hard to choose...First and foremost is the RdPipe I got from Ron, next would be the LHS Sterncrest that James (Scrooge) sent me, and the one Ken sent me, too...far as smoking goes, cobs seem to be the best for everyday use. Then my Briar Spirit Pipes, because a friend made them and of course, the ones AJ sent me...but fact is I like them all and smoke them all in some sort of rotation. I've given a few away to special friends like Josh and AJ...not because I didn't still didn't want them, but because I like some of my best smokers to go to special friends, which as you have noticed there aren't many of them.

My 2 Briar Spirit Pipes from Walt along with a GBD from Walt and 1 from James. They are my favorite because they have meaning behind them.
Other than that, my Grabow Freehand because it was my first briar.
I will have another in about 2 months that will hold special meaning as well... stay tuned for that one...

I've got lot of pipes with sentimental value but I end up smoking big Castello Sea Rocks and Dunhill Shell Briars most of the time because I'm lazy and careless smoking them.

Thanks Dave, I’m aware that Scott Thile is the man when it comes to Pipedia. Personally I’d much rather be recognized for my craftsmanship by Scott or other well known pipe makers than to send in information on my craft. That’s how three other pipe makers I know were recognized, for me it would be more of an honor.

I'd have to say that out of my over 100 pipes the 25 Edward's are my favorite marque with two of them being the best of the lot my 727-L straight apple and my 720-L bent bulldog . These were the first two Edward's I bought back in 1970 and have just getting better the older they get. Of course the same can be said of all my Edward's! Next would be my shell finish Punto Oros. Next in line would be the two Barlings my father bought in 1946, an apple and a straight bulldog. The thing these two marques share is that they are made from oil cured Algerion briar.

Depends on type of blend (English / aromatic etc.) Favourite pipe... I also have more than one. I have several favorites myself. I have a favorite Meerschaum, I have several favorite briars depending obj different circumstances and I now have a favorite cob. I cannot narrow it down to 1.
