The Briar patch Forum is relatively new as pipe forums go, but distinguishes itself among other much more longstanding forums in the quality of member experience and generosity of spirit in sharing that experience. That said, I'd like to thank and express my sincerest appreciation to all the members for helping to enrich my life in this niche of pipes & tobacco. Thank you sparks , JimInks , Motto , papipeguy , Darin , and so many others. I humbly learn from you, and enjoy your esteemed company! The Briar Patch is indeed a home away from home!

Yes, seconded, Baboo, I am learning all the time of others pipe lore, there are no pipe clubs ,as far as I know locally anymore here in my home town & as you know smoking is not allowed indoors in public places & is being banned outdoors in public in some areas in the UK, but thanks to the Internet and forums like this, & also the YouTube pipe community, the spark of the angel herb tobacco is kept legal, & the pipe lore is a living way as expressed in the poems of Pipe smokers of old & amongst modern pipe smokers of tobacco, a sober temperate herb. Peace.

Thank You, Dan, for being a part of this community. Anytime I look and think we need more people, or we need more involvement, I read what our active members do contribute and realize it's not quantity, but quality that is important.
This has been a labor of love, and while admittedly I have not had much time of late to make things interesting, I still love this place.
I appreciate each and everyone of our members. Thank You all for making The Patch what it is.

Hi, just a thought about this forum, not belittling other forums, but I find Briar Patch is open & sharing without the self centred uncommunicative selfies of some anonymous forums, & I thank Justin & John for the work & expense on keeping the ship Briar Patch afloat event if the passage gets a bit stormy, we are all human on here not like some machine like forums, may your God or Philosopher or teacher bless you & in the new year.

This fine forum adds another dimension to the physical and other virtual (via Chat) aspects of the grand relationships I enjoy.

As I have said, I'm grateful to all of you.
Once the holiday season calms down a bit, I will be a bit more involved with keeping things fresh. We may even have a spring contest coming up, so let's keep everyone active and posting!
