Just thought some of our movie fans might want to know about this new digital channel (we have it streaming through Roku but it's also available with other platforms). Their inaugural lineup is amazing, with whole sections of Columbia film noir, David Lynch, Powell & Pressburger, etc. etc. www.criterionchannel.com/

I am glad they have their own channel.

There's only so much money I can devote to streaming services and its already accounted for. I love Criterion's releases and have about 40 of them on DVD and Blue-Ray. Maybe I'll swap out Netflix for Criterion one of these days, but not now.
Everyone is starting up their own streaming service and I can see where there is going to be a bloodbath in a couple of years as most of us aren't going to shell out $300 or $400 a month to cover all of these streaming services. It remains to be seen if Criterion can work as its own channel against other channels that are producing their own content. But when Criterion holds one of their 50% off sales, I'm always happy to add another disc or two to the hoard.

Even with the 14 day trial, I'd like to know the monthly fee.

I hear you Jesse, we cut the cable because the value just wasn't there...paying for sports channels we never watched for decades as a Direct subscriber. But some of the streaming services can really add up...we are in the process of herd culling....we are keeping logs of what we watch and reviewing it all in a few months. Until I make my way through the Granada/ Sherlock Holmes series, Britbox stays. To be honest, I would be content with Acorn and Britbox, Netflix. Thanks for the heads up though Chico, so many options come online that I am unaware of, and many let you take a test drive for a week or so.

Disney's projected $7.00 a month streaming service should shake things up. A great deal for families if they can deliver at that price.

Somehow we manage to get by on a antenna with close to 40 channels. Every now and again I will sign up for a free trial and binge watch.
