I checked Craigslist because I wanted a couple basic pipe racks and I found a labor of love deal ..... I think ... I hope. All for $50
Four different racks 24 count, 7 count, 6 count, and six count with nice jar.
24 pipes including the following I think (hope) are worth noting. Sasieni 4 dot rustic Moorgate Kaywoodie 500 07C Kaywoodie Natural Burl Dr. Grabow Grand Duke Dr. Grabow Westbrook matching set of two Dr. Grabow Regal ajustomatic
Comoy's sandblast 187 Whitehall "well" system pipe GBD New Standard 9488 Kiko African Meerschaum lined rustic
Two beautifully seasoned carved Meerschaums

Sounds like a nice score. Pictures are appreciated so we can drool over them. PAD never dies.

This guy never cleaned anything and I am stunned by how bad some of it is. There are several pipes you could not get a thimble full of tobacco into due to the cake build up!

If you are not skilled in pipe restoration..you might want to invest in one re: Sasieni 4 dot GBD New Standard 9488 Kiko African Meerschaum lined rustic Two beautifully seasoned carved Meerschaums
If you blow it...they will be ruined. JMHO

JMHO Thanks, that's part of why I listed the pipes, I need to know which ones are worth sending out and which ones are okay to play with myself. I have "cleaned up" 30 or so pipes and have never damaged anything but I did a ton of research and I didn't have anything crazy valuable to start with.

This is after a simple wipe down and soaking the stem in Oxy. No deep clean of the briar or buffing of the stem yet.

That Sasieni is nice. I like the rustication. Thanks! I have done some research and believe it is considered "Family Era" but not sure exactly what that means.

I believe you can check on the internet or on pipesmagazine and get some history on the Sas...it is worth checking before you do anything more to it...you may have a big winner there...I know very little about Sasieni 4 dot rustic Moorgates.

Yeah, I'm not going any further with it. I did find out that it is a "Family Era" pipe but don't know the value. I am going to pick the best few and send them out to be restored and maybe then I can get an idea of value.

Your best resource in finding a pipes value is eBay's completed listings but I can tell you small pots have very little value other than to smoke and enjoy if you like it!

JMHO Good thought. There are some exceptional folks here on the Patch who do wonders with restoration.
