Got in on the recent rattray dump, luckily was on the email list from smoking pipes and managed to snap up the last batch of 40 Virginia 3 noggins and brown clunee, unfortunately missed out on my unicorn tobacco marlin flake, still trying to get my hands on some, in your opinion is it worth it? I want some to cellar sooooo bad.

Yes any Rattrays Flake is worth having in the cellar. Just be on the lookout, out of stock blends come around all the time.

I received my tin today...I should perhaps open this one to see what the fuss is about and then order some more. I hope you get yours, highwaycobbery

I have always found that fresh tins of Rattrays are somewhat harsh in taste and retrohale, but a year or three minimum smooths out the flavor tremendously. Air drying for about an hour from a fresh tin also helps quite a bit.

So I stick with the blends that are available when I order. Sometimes that includes hard-to-find blends, but most times it doesn't. I don't chase hard to find blends. There are so many great blends readily available.

Local B&M has it in bulk so I am fortunate. They don't have an online e-commerce site.
