I have enough tobacco “ technically “ for the rest of my life. At times members send me tobacco’s and I do the same. Before retiring I spent a few hundred every month to build a decent cellar. Now if I see a tobacco I’d like to try or a sale on a tobacco I enjoy, that’s usually the only time I purchase any more tobacco. One good example, I gifted a number of tins of Lane Andullo, probably my favorite Lane blend. At one time I had 20 tins, now that all of my tobacco is here with me I took notice, I only have 5 tins left. Next Lane tin sale I definitely need to order a few more!!!

My spending depends on sales and disposable income. Oh... and the GA lottery. When I hit good on a ticket, the cellar gets stocked a little deeper.

I spend more than I probably should and sometimes very little. I have about 40 lbs bulk and close to 250 tins tucked away and now I go after the stuff that doesn't come around often now that I know where to look.

Before retiring I spent a few hundred every month to build a decent cellar...now that I have what I think will last me til my last days...I only buy something that I need to replenish. Other than that...I have all the pipes I need and at a point where I am gifting more pipes to friends because I have enjoyed them and now it is time to give it to a younger man so that he can have the same pleasure that I had. I get great joy from gifting...far more than looking at it sitting on a shelf...same with tobacco, if I know there is no more of that particular blend...I'd rather gift it to someone who gets more enjoyment from it than I do.
Good to see ya, Ken!!

I got more tobbaco than life in me., suspect sons will fertilize the fields with it after my demise. I told my kids to chuck mine in the oven with me. Might as well go out smoking.

Spending probably $200/mo. Slow and steady. Last summer had about 5-6 lbs and now around 26 lbs. 40 years worth is a lot of tobacco! If I was going to do that it would be close to 750 lbs assuming 5 bowls a day or about 1 oz. Geoff, I run about 4 bowls day which is probably an annual tobacco burn rate of 10-15 pounds. I therefore have about 2 year supply on hand. I am nearly 70 and expect I'll be smoking for the next 10 years. So I probably need another 40-50 pounds anyway. But I'm not worried about it. A lot of folks here think tobacco will be completely outlawed, but I don't expect that to be the case. It will certainly get more expensive over time. However if I deplete my cellar, I'll just get more of whatever is available. I enjoy a variety of blends. Well if the tobaccopocalpse happens I have enough to give me time to learn and grow my own and make ropes. After all, North Carolina use to be a tobacco state. You wouldn't know it with the current laws on the books.

I'm on fixed income. I don't spend a lot each month, but I have managed to squirrel away about 18 months worth of tobacco so far. Much of it are aros, so the new focus is on English blends. I seem to prefer them over the aros lately, though I still smoke some aros occasionally.

My first year I spent about $500/month. Insanity. This year nothing and I don't expect to ever need to spend another dime. Average over the last 5 years is about $200/month.

Just trying to see what everyone spends in a month on tobacco, I am fortunate in my opinion to be able to spend 350.00 every month which gets me about six pounds of Baccy. I try to buy one month tins and one month bulk and it has worked out for me pretty good. I’m 39 and want to have about forty years worth cellared and I think I’m about half way there, on that note it would be great to see your cellar porn, I know this has been done probably extensively before but I love to see what others have stocked up on! You're D**N fortunate ! $350./mo. that's half my mortgage payment /mo! I'm doing good if I can spend $30.00/mo !
