I spend a lot of time on the road, and Sirius has some really great content but the price can be pretty steep.... wallethacks.com/save-75-sirius-xm-radio-subscriptions/The cliffnote: The bolded part: Pre-load a prepaid Visa if you don't think you will catch the date on your calendar...or just set an alert on your smartphone days before the automatic renewal.

I have some internet radios and also use some internet radio apps. I like global music, when in the mood to surf. Mostly, it's free. I just bought the physical radios for days/times I am not attached to my PC.
One service I may buy into is Audials, for the recording aspect, and it's 3.50/months. Part of its system is to record web movies and streams. I have no interest in that. If I want something I just pay for it.
I collect public domain movies and old time radio, and have every movie serial in existence from 1931-1963 and many silent serials on top of that. I am ready for my prepper hideout now. toodles

Audiobooks certainly have their place and I love them for the long haul, but being in and out of the truck now that doesn't work so well, I like variety....
I listen to The John Batchelor Radio show Podcast Under the Hood.....fantastic for great info on the horseless carriage... And of course the pipe podcasts...Pipesmagazine, country Squire, Pipe and Tamper
But for music and talk radio, Sirius has no equal.....
Pandora and Iheart have the free option, but too many songs end up constantly heard....Iheart 80's country station plays "coward of the County" every time I play a session...great song by Kenny Rogers, but once every five years is about right.

I just cancel my subscription. Within 6 weeks, I get an offer for 6 months for $5. I need to cancel today as a matter of fact. I listen to audio books all the time, and I have a USB drive with over 4k songs that plays through the truck radio.
