Like so many other folks I struggle to keep my sugar level low enough that I don't have to take pills or shots. So far I've managed to do so. I've had to give up quite a few things that I really like to eat though. One of them is Jelly Beans. All my life I've loved Jelly Beans. For some reason I associate them with this time of year..What's a good Easter Basket without Jelly Beans? As you know they're almost pure sugar so they're off limits for me.So if you're a Jelly Bean lover and you're going to eat some for Easter think of me...I won't even mention Orange Blossom Honey that I also associate with Easter.

I'm not sure about an Easter basket without jelly beans, but I will eat a bunch for you. I went down to Jacksonville yesturday to go to the zoo, it was a pretty good time. Before heading home we stopped by a candy shop downtown. I spent more in the candy shop than I did the zoo. About 75% of what I bought was jelly beans the other 25% was house made black licorice.

You’re right Larry, ain’t no Easter Basket if it don’t have no jelly beans. Sent my oldest son who just came back from Japan some Crispy Crepe jellybeans, raised in Baton Rouge, he was the recipient of Crispy Creme doughnuts when I knocked off the dog. So I found Crispy Creme jellybeans on Amazon and sent him some for Easter.

I don't eat much in the way of jelly beams as they are all sugar, but I love Jelly Belly's. Richer in flavor, I think. But sadly, just as much sugar.

I discovered Starburst jelly beans this year. Kim bought a large bag at Sam's Club a couple weeks ago and needless to say I ate them all. She likes the spiced version so she never has to worry about me eating them because I can't stand them.

+1 For Jelly Belly but a big no no for people watching their sugars. They do have a sugar free one that the wife grabs for me sometimes.

So are “ most “ Jelly Belly “, some as I remember leave a real bad taste in your mouth if you purchase the big jar. I like the hand picked so you know what flavors you’ll be eating. Any of you ever had that “ bad tasting Jelly Belly “ experience??

Yeah, man. I'm in the same boat. I've fooled around tryin to cheat for too long, so I'm on a meat and vegetables diet for the duration. Once in a while I'll allow an indulgence, but I can't be messing with the old A1C anymore. I love EVERYTHING carb and sugar related, but I figure if I could quit drinking, I can do this too.

Best to have sweets after your main meal and then in moderation. I feel your pain Jason.

A random popcorn flavored one worked its way into a fruity lineup I had going one time. Really put a stick in the spokes, so to speak!

The popcorn flavored jelly belly and the toasted marshmallow ones are pretty crazy.
