Great score!
If you don’t like the way it smokes, you can certainly get a nice return on your investment.

Congrats on the find...great price! Upstate SC rarely has good pipes at antique / junktique shops. The one time I found treasure here in town was a Dunnie for 20 bucks. :-)

Congrats and Enjoy. You do consistently well at the Thrift and Antique stores. Thanks. I wish I could get as lucky picking lottery numbers. We try not to visit any one antique shop more than once every six months. We had never been in this one before and I was surprised to find the selection that I did. One of the New Orleans Pipe Club members live about 10 miles from this shop and I told him about what I found. He went there the next day and found a pipe I missed - a Sasieni 4 Dot for $45. He bought it and a GBD.

The pricing on pipes can be so arbitrary in antique shops, some trashed pipes are priced as they have some historic significance, some great pipes like the Dunhill and Sasieni are at a great price point. In antique malls, the booth owner is rarely onsite, so it prevents any haggling. The occasional find is pretty exciting and makes it worthwhile if you have the time.

I asked for information on the pipe from The White Spot website because I wasn't familiar with the 3 digit shape code. It is a Group 4, tapered stem Dublin.
Working on a deep cleaning now. No real restoration work needed.

Now you know what you can give me for my birthday. 😉

I've cleaned it and have it ready for my first time smoking it. I'm starting with Dunhill Apertif.
